GoodReads

I started using GoodReads to track books I've read and books I'm planning on reading. My book list can be found here.

It's a well-designed site, with links to Amazon on most books. And it's free, of course. I don't have a problem with the general public looking at my book list -- there's nothing terribly personal or revealing there.

Up to now I've been tracking my books on a PDA, and now on my iPhone. But the latter is clunky. To get the list synced I had to make it an 'edit' field in a bogus address book entry. It does work, and is guaranteed to synchronize, but is difficult to use. But I'm not confident that GoodReads will be around forever, so I'll still maintain my own parallel list on the iPhone.

GoodReads also has this cool little Flash widget you see on the right. ----->
